Meet the Staff

Terry Ferrara
Cook

Lulu, as Terry is often called, is a 3rd generation Florida Native. She has traveled and lived all over the country. She attended high school in this enchanted state of New Mexico! She has a 23 year old son, Rudy, and a 10 year old hound dog, Fred who are keeping each other company while she works and plays at the ranch.

After many years working in the corporate world she realized she wanted something more satisfying. She has been cooking since she was old enough to stand on a chair to reach the stove and truly loves making people happy through food. When the opportunity presented itself for her to make a life change, she attended culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu and began a new adventure in the culinary world. Now she is here, ready to share a meal and a few adventures with you!

Meris Esterly Meris Esterly
Head Wrangler

Meris has been riding horses since she was 8 years old. She grew up on the Maine coast where she loved to sail and ski. While growing up, she vacationed for 5 years with her parents at a dude ranch. She later attended Colby College in Maine and majored in Theater and Dance. For 3 summers she worked at Tarryall River Ranch in Colorado as a wrangler. She loves to show you this great, "wild west" country of the Gila National Forest from horseback. Her other interests include bead jewelry making, singing and skiing.

Emma Perkuhn
Wrangler

Emma hails from Boston, Massachusetts, where she grew up learning dressage and eventing in Pony Club. She attended the University of Findlay in Ohio and double majored in Equine Science and Equine Business Management. She caught the ranching bug when she worked at Tarryall River Ranch as a wrangler in 2008 and 2011. It was there that she found the world's greatest horse, Dee!

Upon graduating, she moved to San Diego, CA and took a position as road manager and competition groom for an Olympic dressage rider. She is currently living in San Diego with a small training and teaching business, Ranch Horse Dressage and working part time as a veterinary assistant.
