An Unforgettable New Mexico Horseback Riding Experience!

Atop your good-natured horse, you’ll get an up-close view of the sweet-smelling Ponderosa pines towering above you, beautiful high mountain overlooks, open meadows, and deep canyons with crystal clear creeks. Our main focus is on trail riding and seeing the beautiful scenery by horseback. Rides are adjustable depending on what you want to do and how much you want to ride. Typical rides are around 2 hours in length and we ride both in the morning and in the afternoon. We also love to take you on all day picnic rides during your stay!

Enjoy Personalized Attention and a Horse Matched Just for You

You’re not just another face in the crowd here at Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch. Our small size allows us to make sure you get exactly what you need during your stay with us—and that includes finding the horse that’s right for you. Whether you’re an experienced rider, or you’re new to horseback riding, we will match you with a horse that fits your experience level.

Outdoor Adventures

From horseback and on foot you will be able to discover the history of this fascinating area: Pit Houses and Cliff Dwellings of the Mimbres people dating to 200-1150 AD, the homeland of Geronimo and the Chiricahua Apaches, Basque Sheepherders and Tin Mining! Enjoy other activities like swimming in the creek, unguided hiking, unguided fishing, and evening campfires under the shining night sky.

Rider weight limit 240 pounds. Horseback riding requires a certain amount of physical fitness. These requirements are to ensure the safety and comfort of both riders and horses.
